Sound Enhancement

In a random chat on one of our favorite channels, we were talking about PD0KHN, Martin’s newest addition to his Radio Park: an Inrico T320. We were discussing that adjusting the sound is not a subtile matter, it goes with button clicks and it’s lowest volume is sometimes just a little bit too loud. Same goes for the TM-7 (plus)… we all experienced the same issue. We got interrupted by Jeerke77 who told us that if you disable the Sound Enhancement in Android Sound Settings, the volume is far more softer and subtile in its lower volumes.

We all gave it an immediate try and agreed that it worked. For me I liked it on the T320 but not on my TM-7 plus. Whoever PD0KHN said it was far more better on his TM-7 with the Sound Enhancement off…
Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas.

I think this setting is found in most Android versions, it certainly is available in the Android versions of the Inrico TM-7 (Plus) & T320 but not on the T298.

Sound is a very complex matter, depending on your personal preferences, ability, your device, microphone, location, … etc.
This tip might be useful for some and totally useless for others,
If you don’t try, you don’t know…!

  1. You control the volume on the A17 from the music app, that should already be on the device.

  2. Have an A17 NR radio with a fixed volume. It is set at 80% and is way too loud. There is an app I can get. Can you help ? TIA.

    1. I don’t know about the app. I would check your Android volume settings. Also, download Button Mapper and activate Default media Volume. This sets the volume buttons always to media volume settings.
